Thus, France Is Dead: Opening performance of Paris Olympics 2024
Watching the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics(2024), I cannot shake off the thought that this marks the end of France. Can one ask the citizens of France would parody the statue of Jesus so severely if they were Muslims, Buddhists, or Hindus?
The history of humanity is entirely the history of religion and politics. The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics was a fiasco and chaos. It shows where France and the current states of Western Europe are heading.
The first scene of the opening ceremony was a performance depicting Marie Antoinette. Much of the story about her is fake news. They spread fake news, such as her having an inappropriate sexual relationship with her son, so French citizens killed her.
The political system in France during the French Revolution (1789-1799) was highly oppressive. Around that time, the American Revolutionary War(1775-1783) took place in the United States, and the Glorious Revolution(1688-1689) had occurred in England. Europe has changed its political systems. However, France's political, economic, and religious structures remained highly closed.
Despite the developments and changes of the times, French citizens executed their king. They also killed police and disbanded the army that could protect them. They captured and killed Roman Catholic priests and executed those who professed Christian faith. France was in chaos. Instead of adequately changing the political system, they embraced disorder.
The most severe political crisis was the execution of the king in front of the citizens. After killing the king, there was no reason they should not kill the following ranking members of the government. Eventually, the citizens executed those who led the revolution.
With the execution of the king, France became a mess. Without leadership, the country became even more disordered. The whole country was in turmoil. Foreign nations took advantage and invaded France, plunging it into a more significant crisis.
The French Revolution is not an event we should respect or commemorate. Seeing the Paris Olympic opening ceremony mock Marie Antoinette, who was a victim of fake news, we may say, "Thus, France is dead."
The painting by Leonardo da Vinci, "The Last Supper," depicts the last meal of Jesus and his twelve disciples. It illustrates a scene from the Bible. The Paris Olympics parodied this Christian artwork into a scene of mockery and insult. Paris was in chaos with ideas of transgender people and LGBTs.
Can the Olympic artistic director mock Islam similarly for inclusiveness and freedom of expression? Could significant leaders of Buddhism and Hinduism be parodied like this? Christianity in France is dead. Despite such disrespect and disdain, no one says a word.
The parodying of "The Last Supper" reflects the sentiments of the French people. The parody was a shocking event. It was an insulting performance to Christians worldwide., an extreme act of disrespect towards Christianity and the followers of Jesus Christ.
The artistic director claimed to have planned this to show artistic tolerance and inclusivity. Could the artistic director make Islamic figures in the same way? In the Paris Olympics parody of "The Last Supper," men and women acted affectionately. The performance depicted them in private actions. Scenes of three people, a man, a woman, and an LGBTQ+ individual, walking down the aisle and embracing each other, glorified homosexuality and displayed the corrupt desires of humans unrelated to the Olympics. The following message was: "Children should not watch."
The Olympics is for everybody, including children worldwide. After depicting immoral and chaotic scenes, the stage closed with a sentence, "Children should not watch." Above it was inscribed the word "Equality."
The Paris Olympic Organizing Committee excused themselves, saying, "There was never any intention to disregard any religion."
But, the Paris Olympics opening ceremony resulted from four years of preparation by France. Four years is a sufficient period to plan and produce something that aligns with the spirit of the Olympics. Despite this, France presented sensational scenes utterly unrelated to the Olympic spirit, openly mocking Christianity and stimulating vile desires of human being.
Under the guise of "tolerance," France forced the majority of humanity to accept something they could not on the global stage of the Summer Olympics, watched by people worldwide. It is violence and outrage.
Living within a community called a global society, we recognize the crucial role of mutual respect and order. These values are not just necessary but the foundation of a harmonious coexistence. To be precious, the freedom of the French people must also respect the freedom of others.
Violent art that infringes on the freedom and religious beliefs of others is a violation. Art is an expression of aesthetics, ontological, and epistemological values.
Instead, the Paris Olympics opening ceremony could have been an opportunity to showcase the best of French culture and values, promoting unity and understanding among the global community. The unrefined expression of French art at an event for the entire global village signifies the death of France.
The clue to France's modern history is the story of resistance. France has a long history of resisting dictatorship, exemplified by resistance to Louis XVI. Did dictatorship end after that? It reinforced dictatorship due to disorder.
What will come next to fill the dismantling and destruction of orders? Various secular elements will fill the gap, causing conflicts, disorder, and chaos. Resisting against dictatorship in France has brought another dictatorship.
If France were an Islamic country, how would its citizens react to the Paris Olympic opening scene? They would behead all involved and stop the Olympic games. They would publicly behead those who insult or criticize Allah or Muhammad.
The leftists in France and Europe claim that sexual liberation will eliminate oppression. They argue that sexually repressed people are causing chaos by venting their desires and that eliminating oppression requires sexual liberation.
In the 1920s, Germany was the most sexually liberal among European countries. The Nazi government advocated for extramarital affairs and sexual liberation. They believed that removing ethics would allow them to kill Jews freely. They emphasized sexual liberation while chanting equality, fraternity, and liberty.
The madness of Germany at that time is related to Christianity. German Christianity, immersed in liberal theology, was powerless. Germans freely engaged in abortions and sexual immorality.
Hitler's Nazism incited such immorality, believing traditional Christian ethics were worthless. Hitler considered human dignity as not essential. They thought the German race was supreme, adopting eugenics while dismantling conventional Christian ethics. Freedom meant stealing and sexual immorality. Germans revered existentialist philosophy, which claimed that their senses were supreme.
In Europe, hedonism has replaced the Christian God. Europeans have abandoned Christian God and serve hedonism and Dionysus, the god of wine and hedonism in Greek myth, as their deities. When people expel God, the violence of rationalism, humanism, and hedonism under the pretext of 'tolerance' invades the empty space. France has abandoned God. Thus, we may say, "France is dead."
