17. SEMINARY MOVEMENT: LIVING LONG LIVES
Bread University welcomes retired theologians, pastors, and church officers to help establish seminaries in mission fields and run them. In this way, they can enjoy a long, happy, and productive life in mission activity. Theological lectures will be provided for free, with no cost for interpreters, and instructors’ room and board and travel expense won’t be needed since the lectures will be given online or by video.
When churches support missionaries who establish and run seminaries, their congregations will have cohesion. Church members will be encouraged and motivated to support and participate in missions and field work. Sponsors can see that UUmission's ministry of supplying theological lectures, and its effectiveness and urgent need by visiting the mission fields.
