32. NORTH KOREA, A LAND OF HOPE
UUMission facilitates a theological and liberal arts program in the Korean language through which North Koreans and Korean diasphora of the world can learn. It offers graduate courses in theology, college courses in humanities, and pre-college classes for free. UUMission produces a Korean platform where anyone can learn theology and liberal arts anywhere, anytime. The lectures are produced according to the culture, awareness, level, and lifestyle of North Koreans.
To create what will be needed at the time North and South Korea are unified is too late. We must prepare now. Before unification, North Korean defectors and Korean residents in Japan, China, America, and all parts of the world can take classes. Immediately after the unification, brothers and sisters in North and South Korea can take classes at night, working during the daytime. North Korea, the land of hope, with beautiful mountains and rivers, is the end of the world. What their 25 million people need most is the Bread of Life.
